As-Maintained Record

A running log of all changes, repairs, component replacements, and service events that have occurred on a product unit since it left the factory, maintained throughout the unit's operational life.

Why it matters

For high-service-interval products — aircraft, industrial equipment, medical devices — the as-maintained record is as important as the as-built record. It determines eligibility for service programs, warranty coverage, and resale value, and it is required for regulatory compliance in aviation MRO.
