Engineering Change Management
The process of controlling modifications to product designs, BOMs, and manufacturing plans — including impact assessment, approval routing, and propagation to downstream systems like ERP and MES.
Why it matters
Engineering changes that propagate incorrectly or incompletely cause rework, compliance failures, and field quality issues. Agentic systems can automate the detection and routing steps while keeping humans on the approval decisions.
